Boat Storage, Shrink Wrap and Winterization Rates Winter 2012/2013

Storage

Outside:       $350.00 plus boat motor winterization

Outboards:            $75.00 up to 25 hp (tiller handle)

Storage  Environmental Fee:  $15.00

Winterization Environmental Fee:  $10.00

Storage includes chemical and power wash of hull of boat and blocking boat or positioning on trailer.    Storage also includes boat cleaning in spring.  Boat cleaning is limited to all surfaces wiped down and carpet vacuumed as well as an outside boat wash.  All outside boats stored on site will be shrink wrapped.

Storage and boat motor winterization will be subject to an environmental fee for each service.  Harcourt Park Marina actively pursues avenues to be as environmentally friendly as possible by transporting all shrink wrap to a recycling facility, uses Interstate Battery so that batteries can be recycled instead of diverted to landfill, we recycle all oils and contaminants through 3^rd party recycler and use environmentally friendly products wherever possible. These environmentally friendly choices incur extra costs.

Winterization includes oil change and supplies (oil filter, oil) on 4 stroke outboards and inboard/outboard engines.  If you require synthetic oil there is an additional $40.00 charge(recommended for Volvo-Penta and some Mercruiser).  Also included, a pressure test if required (e.g. water in gear case or milky oil), refill sterndrive or gearcase and top up of reservoir if applicable, lubricate all pivot points, engine fogging, fuel stabilizer, enzyme treatment is added into gas and run through engine.  All canister fuel filters will be replaced and a parts charge will apply.

 All oil injection engines will have their oil tanks filled to prevent condensation within the tank and start-up engine damage.  All portable fuel tanks will be completely drained. (e.g. red tanks)  All red tanks are being drained due to the 10% addition of ethanol mandated by the government.  Ethanol attracts moisture from the atmosphere at an accelerated rate.  The failure to dispose of gasoline could result in costly repairs in the spring such as fuel system purging and carburetor rebuilds. 

All permanent tanks will be completely filled to prevent condensation within the tank and to prevent start up issues.  The cost of this oil and gasoline will be in addition to the set winterization pricing structure.  We suggest a tune up in the spring.  Please ask for details.

Trailer repairs and tire replacement will be performed where necessary and additional charges will apply.  To prevent the risk of injury to marina staff we ask that all trailers have a proper trailer stand.  Harcourt Park Marina reserves the right to install a trailer stand if the trailer is deemed unsafe.  A trailer stand may be purchased through the marina for $80.00 plus tax installed.

Shrink Wrap

$10.00 per foot if the boat is wrapped and not stored at Harcourt Park Marina. Pontoon boats are $11.00 per foot.   Harcourt Park General Store and Marina is not responsible for any damage to the shrink wrap or boat for any boat stored offsite. Battery storage is $25.00.  There will be a $10.00 environmental charge if we unwrap and recycle the shrink wrap on your behalf.

$12.00 per foot for shrink wrap outside of Harcourt Park within a 50km radius.  Pontoon boats are 13.00 per foot.  Any work outside of this radius will require a quote.  There will be a $15.00 environmental charge if we unwrap and recycle the shrink wrap on your behalf.

Please remember, if you remove your own shrink wrap please divert it from landfill whenever possible.

 Oil Change for I/O’s and 4 Strokes

Oil Change for all I/O                          $135.00

Oil Change 4 Stroke 9.9/15 hp            $  75.00

Oil Change 4 Stroke 20 hp up $110.00.

 All Payments are due on date of contracted service. All storage requires the completed signed contract.   All invoices are due on receipt.  Work will not commence until the contract has been signed.  An additional invoice may be required to cover gasoline and oil for inboard tanks.

The boat will be re-commissioned in the spring if the boat is stored at the marina.  If the boat is not stored at the marina this service can be arranged at additional cost.    We require 14 days notice prior to launch date in 2013.  Launch preparation will not be performed prior to notice of launch. Trailers must be removed from marina property within one week after launch.  Please arrange for trailer delivery if required.  Trailers may remain after launch at the discretion of the marina.

All marina facilities are insured for loss due to damage.  If you leave the boat on the dock or require a battery charge or pick up at your cottage it is the owner’s responsibility to safeguard the boat from sinking or water damage prior to its removal so please cover your boat and ensure that your bilge pump is operational.  Please do not leave valuables or electronics on boat for storage period.  The Marina is not responsible for theft of any personal property left on board.  All boat tops will be stored inside the boat.
