Boat Storage & Winterization
A signed storage contract must be received before any work commences. All payments are due on date of contracted service. All storage requires the completed signed contract. Cash, etransfer or cheque are preferred.
WE REQUIRE 2 WEEKS NOTICE PRIOR TO LAUNCH
– THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE.
You will be able to request launch directly from our website as well as email and telephone and we will send you reminder emails. Booking early as possible ensures you won’t be disappointed. All boats will be unwrapped and cleaned commencing at thaw, first by demand and then until everything is clean. This is a one time clean so if you are late picking up your boat may not be as pristine as when it was first cleaned. Because we recycle all shrink wrap we have a limited time period to gather the wrap for the recycler.
Pick up and delivery are included in the winterization/storage package. It is the responsibility of the owner to make sure the boat is fully operational and ready for pick up. If our staff encounters dead batteries, missing fuel tanks, non running engines or non functional trailers regular service rates will apply.
Environmental considerations
Harcourt Park Marina actively pursues avenues to be as environmentally friendly as possible and is Clean Marine certified. Shrink wrap is transported to a recycling facility, boats are fogged on land using muffs to prevent harmful chemicals and oils entering our lakes, all oils and contaminants are recycled, batteries and filters are recycled, and we use the best environment rated products whenever possible.
Storage and winterization includes:

2-Stroke Engines
All fuel filters and oil for oil injection 2-stroke engines will incur extra costs.

Trailers
Trailer repairs and tire replacement will be performed where necessary and additional charges will apply. Trailers require a tongue jack to prevent risk of injury to marina staff.

V Hull Boats
Due to the increase in labor we can no longer include blocking of V Hull boats. We will be charging $50 for fall blocking and re-trailering in the spring. Pick up and delivery will still be included in the winterization price.

Gas Tanks
Permanent gas tanks will no longer be filled unless requested. We have found that several boats do not use a full tank of gas per season causing new and costly repairs. We still recommend a water separator fuel filter to minimize fuel system repairs. Please ask us for info.
All red tanks will be emptied to prevent issues related to ethanol in gasoline.

Recommendations
Recommendations will be made on the final invoice for work that required and regular maintenance to insure a trouble-free season. Several insurance companies are making claims decisions based on service record and may deny coverage based on this. We are happy to provide your records to you. All engines should have a new impeller every three years.

Stern Drives
If you own a stern drive you should have a transom service every 3 to 5 seasons. An automatic bilge pump is a necessity and you should have a battery in good condition which stays fully charged when accessories are off.

Lines and Fenders
If you choose to remove lines and fenders (ropes and bumpers) and they are not delivered back to us before the required launch date, we will install new ones at your cost. We are not responsible for personal items left on board.
